Standard Operating Procedures
for
Issue of Company Equipment
14 November, 1996
PURPOSE: This SOP establishes policy for the issuance of property from the company resources. All individuals responsible for the issue and turn-in of company equipment will do so in accordance with this SOP.
- A property manager will be appointed by the Organization President and Robert Cuevas (*). This appointment will last until officially relieved. Appointment will be by written directive over the signature of the above listed individuals.
- All equipment issued to Members and Non-Members will be issued out on a Company Hand Receipt. Each piece will be listed on the form as well as the amount of pieces by type. (Example: Sack Coat 1ea, Boots 1pr, etc.). Rifles will have the model, manufactruers name and serial number recorded on the hand receipt.
- Information required on the hand receipt will include Name, Address, Telephone Number. Any non unit member wishing to borrow equipment will also include a drivers license number and/or Social Security Number, NO EXCEPTIONS.
- A Security and/or Cleaning deposit will be charged and collected from each individual wishing to borrow unit equipment.
- Any person borrowing unit equipment will be responsible for the security, cleaning and maintenance of all equipment in their possession until said equipment is properly returned to the property manager.
- All equipment loaned out will be returned in a clean and serviceable manner. Weapons will be cleaned throughly before turn in. If equipment is not returned in a clean and serviceable state, the individual signed for the equipment may lose the privilege of borrowing equipment in the future. Uniforms must be dry cleaned only!
- Equipment that has been borrowed and is lost or damaged beyond use or repair will be replaced by the hand receipt holder. Failure to replace lost or damaged equipment will result in the loss of borrowing privileges.
- All borrowed equipment must be returned to the property manager within five (5) days from the end of the event it was borrowed for. Habitually being late in returning equipment could result in the loss of borrowing privileges.
- In the event of equipment being lost at an event the hand receipt holder is responsible for notifying the individual in charge of the group as soon as possible to try to recover the equipment. In the event of a theft of property the responsible individual will notify the individual in charge of the group as soon as possible so that proper authorities can be notified and a description of the missing equipment broadcast in an attempt to recover the property.
- All company property will be marked so that identification can be made easily.
- Equipment will be loaned out on a first come first serve basis. All individuals requesting to borrow equipment will be made aware of the contents of the SOP and are required to abide by its contents as a condition of borrowing equipment. Failure to do so will result in the loss of borrowing privileges.
Company loaner property is the personal property of Robert Cuevas and will be returned to his control upon request by him.
The above Standard Operating Procedures are approved as written and will be affective on the date listed above.
