Basic Men's Equipment for Reenacting

The minimum and basic equipment should be obtained during the first two years in the order listed below. All prices are approximate new purchase prices. Used or homemade items may cost less.

Before you buy anything, have an experienced member help you choose the correct items. There is almost nothing worse than spending a hundred or so on Civil War stuff only to find out that you can't use most of it.

Minimum Equipment

Brogans w/heel plates (Civil War Shoes) - $90
Canteen, smooth sided, sky blue cover - $35
Uniform pants, wool, sky blue - $65
Suspenders - $20
Forage Cap - $30
4 Button Sack Coat, wool, Federal blue - $70
Shirt, white or print - $20

Basic Equipment

Black Leather Belt w/buckle & Cap Box - $35
Black Cartriage Box w/breast plate - $40
Haversack, black tarred - $30
Rifle, Enfield or Springfield 3-band only! - $400
Wool Blanket undyed grey or brown - $20
